Property Tax Payment Options

Todd County offers several options to pay your taxes:

Online Property Tax Payment

In Person:  If you wish to make payment in person, you can continue to do that through the Auditor/Treasurer’s Office located in the Historic Courthouse at 215 1st Avenue South, Long Prairie, MN.   Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 pm (excluding holidays).

Payment Drop Box:  Payments may be dropped off at the Todd County payment box, located at 215 1st Avenue South, Historic Courthouse entrance at the street level (tunnel entrance).

By Mail:  Tax payments can be mailed to the Auditor/Treasurer’s Office.  The postmark is the proof of timely mailing, it must be on or before the due date to avoid penalty.  If a due date falls on a weekend or legal holiday, the effective due date moves to the next business day.

By Phone:  To make an electronic property tax payment using PNP’s automated phone system call the following toll-free number:  1-844-368-2607. There is a convenience fee as follows which goes directly to Point N Pay:

  • Credit Card or Debit Card (except Visa Debit Card) 2.5% of amount paid – Minimum Fee of $1.50
  • Visa Debit Card – Flat Fee $3.95
  • E-Check – Flat Fee $1.50 up to $10,000 / $10.00 over $10,000
Online with Credit Card:  You can now pay your property taxes with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover credit card. This option is offered through Point N Pay. There is a convenience fee as follows, which goes directly to Point N Pay.

  • Credit Card or Debit Card (except Visa Debit Card) 2.5% of amount paid – Minimum Fee of $1.50
  • Visa Debit Card – Flat Fee $3.95
  • E-Check – Flat Fee $1.50 up to $10,000 / $10.00 over $10,000

Real Estate:

May 15th – First Half (all real estate)

October 15th – Second Half (commercial and residential)

November 15th – Second Half (agricultural)

Personal Property:

May 15th – Full Amount

Mobile Homes:

August 31st – First Half

November 15th – Second Half
