Kinship of Todd-Wadena Counties

Kinship is a non-profit volunteer mentor program that matches adults with children, ages 5 to 17, who need a friend. The goal is to befriend a child that, for a variety of reasons, needs a special relationship with a caring adult. Volunteers may mentor one-to-one, as a couple or as a family. They typically meet two to four hours per month.

Kinship also offers free fun activities each month for everyone in the program. It is a rewarding and learning experience for both kids and adults. Come, join the fun and make a difference.

If you want to learn more about Kinship or have an interest in being a volunteer mentor, or referring a child, contact the director, Stacy Marxer, at 218-894-2799 or toll free 1-877-631-1788.

Meals on Wheels

The Hilltop Regional Kitchen hilltopregionalkitchen.org located in Eagle Bend, provides the kitchen facilities where meals for communities across Central Minnesota are prepared. From this location, LSS Meals, a service of Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota (LSS), produces meals for 10 communities in our region. Volunteers are needed to bring needed nutrition, friendly visits and a safety check to members of our community. Delivering meals is a great way to make a huge positive impact in a short amount of time. By delivering meals from Hilltop Regional Kitchen for LSS Meals on Wheels, you bring nutritious food and a friendly visit to members of our community.  Anyone can deliver meals, and it’s a great volunteer opportunity for individuals, families, teams of employees and students.
