Todd County Law Library

Hours and Location

The Todd County Law Library is located on the second floor of the Todd County Courthouse, 221 First Avenue South, Long Prairie, MN 56347.  It is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  It is closed on federal holidays.

Library Resources and Services

The Todd County Law Library maintains up-to-date legal research materials, self-help guides, Court forms (family law, conciliation, etc.), and other legal resources. The use of the Law Library is free and open to all.

There is a free legal clinic held in the Todd County Law Library on the fourth Monday of each month from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.  The legal clinic is staffed by a licensed attorney. The attorney can meet with people one-on-one to provide legal assistance and advice. Register for the legal clinic in advance by calling (320) 253-0138.

The Todd County Law Library has supplied self-help legal materials (most in both English and Spanish) to the four Great River Regional Libraries in Todd County (Eagle Bend, Grey Eagle, Long Prairie, Staples).  Locations and hours for those libraries can be found at: https://griver.org/locations
