SWCD Tree Sale

The presence of trees and forests in a landscape is tightly interwoven with the quality of its surface waters. The more forested area surrounding a water body, the better the lake or river ranks regarding water quality for safety, recreational, and wildlife habitat use.

Todd SWCD encourages the planting of trees in urban, shoreland and rural areas of the county by hosting its annual tree sales in early spring of every year. Landowners can work with Todd SWCD to order bundles of hardwood, conifer, fruit bearing, and shrub species, and also plant kits for pollinator gardens and other native landscapes from November to April each year. In early spring, Todd SWCD will send out reminder postcards to all purchasers informing them of the “Tree Pick-up Day” held at the Todd County Fairgrounds in Long Prairie, MN- 203 9th ST NE Long Prairie, MN 56347.
